1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site's owner or third-party services embedded on it.
2. Cookies set directly by this Site
The calculators themselves do not set any cookies — they hold your inputs only in the page's memory while it's open. We do not use first-party cookies for tracking, preferences, or session management, because there's no account system to maintain a session for.
3. Cookies from third-party services
Two optional third-party services may be active on the Site and can set their own cookies when they are:
Google AdSense (advertising cookies)
When ad serving is active, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads and measure ad performance, and to limit how many times you see a given ad. Google Analytics (analytics cookies)
When analytics is active, Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions, so we can see aggregate patterns like which pages get the most traffic. This data is reported in aggregate; we don't use it to identify individual visitors.

Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to use the calculators — they don't depend on cookies to function.
