The calculators have nothing to breach
The strongest security property of TuitionTally's calculators is architectural: your loan amount, income, tuition figures, and every other number you type are processed entirely inside your own browser and are never transmitted to our servers. There is no database of user financial inputs to secure, because none exists. This is true regardless of what security measures we implement elsewhere — the calculators simply don't have a server-side data path for that information to travel through.
Transport security
The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS, encrypting traffic between your browser and our hosting infrastructure in transit.
No account system
There is no login, password, or account system on the Site. This removes an entire category of risk — credential stuffing, password reuse, session hijacking — that doesn't apply here because there's nothing to authenticate against.
Third-party services
Where active, Google AdSense and Google Analytics operate under Google's own security and infrastructure practices, independent of this Site. See the Privacy Policy for how those services are used.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you've found a security vulnerability in the Site (as distinct from a calculation bug — see the Disclaimer for that), please report it responsibly to support@tuitiontally.lucenta.dev with enough detail to reproduce the issue. We ask that you not publicly disclose a vulnerability until we've had a reasonable opportunity to address it.
